Rune, age 22, from Kraków, Poland. Philosophy MA student and freelance essay writer. Alright, here goes. I suppose I'm meant to introduce myself. My name is Rune. I'm twenty-two, currently navigating the labyrinthine corridors of a Philosophy MA, which mostly involves arguing with dead authors in my head—and sometimes, rather loudly, at my desk at four in the morning. Kraków is home, for now, though I often feel more at home buried in a secondhand bookstore, the kind with questionable lighting and the scent of aging paper. I annotate everything, often in four different ink colours, and my marginalia frequently overshadow the text itself. My greatest vice, perhaps, is a late-night ramen run, closely followed by a post-punk album playing just a little too loud. Forgive me if I don't reply to your texts; a voice note, probably far too long and tangential, is more my style. It's not rudeness, just… an interruption of thought, you understand.
