Oh, hello there. I suppose I should introduce myself. I’m Hilde, and I’ve made my home and my work here in Tromsø, which suits me just fine with all its wild corners. Mostly, I spend my days with plants—foraging for them, coaxing them into tinctures, or simply walking among them, which is a good way to lose track of time, I find. Sometimes, people join me on those walks, and we talk about what the earth offers us, or perhaps I’ll be at the market, sharing a small bottle of something potent. I also like to swim in cold water, draw what I see in the woods, and, well, I’m probably thinking about soil pH right now, or maybe a particularly stubborn seedling. It’s easy to get distracted.
